Sponsorship

We can work to bring together the marketing objectives of your company and the social objectives of The Mayhew Animal Home to form a partnership that benefits both parties.

We usually ask for sponsorship of exclusive projects such as:

• A suite of information materials
• An appeal or campaign
• All or part of our supporter magazine
• New building development or enhancement in the animal home

These activities bring a host of benefits such as increasing brand awareness and generating PR for your company. It can also help reach your target audience, motivate staff or show commitment to the local community.

New opportunities for sponsorship arise all the time, so please get in touch if you would like to discuss.

Gifts In Kind

If your budgets cannot stretch to making a Corporate donation, why not look at donating a Gift in Kind instead?

The areas where companies have supported us in this area before are by donating:

• Fundraising prizes/incentives
• Pro bono design and/or printing work
• Animal care and enrichment products
• Technical equipment

However, if you have a Gift in Kind idea you would like to pose to us, please do let us know as we'll find a good use for any gifts we receive no matter how big or small!

Volunteering

We are always seeking ways to extend partnerships in this way, which in turn helps to make sure that maximum time and resources are spent on helping animals and their carers.

We have worked with various companies, providing them with the opportunity to come to the Home for a day or an afternoon and help with maintenance of the animal home, undertaking tasks like:

• Painting our rabbit area
• Cleaning out our pond
• Staining our garden benches
• Cleaning the kitten garden
• Gardening duties

Undertaking these activities as a group at The Mayhew has proved to be a rewarding team building exercise for the companies who have supported us in this way.

We would also provide your team with an animal handling session at the end of the day, so the animals have a chance to say thank you in person! This always seems to be the most popular part of the day with the volunteers!

Employee Fundraising

Employee fundraising is a great way to create team goals and shared achievements, which is excellent for staff morale. It also provides your company with interesting and informative stories to tell your customers, suppliers and the local community.

There are a range of ways we can work together including:

• Facilitating a group of your staff taking part in one of our events
• Attending one of our fairs to sell your wares
• Developing a calendar of easy and cost-effective fundraising events for you to host in your organisation.

We are always happy to come and talk to your company about what we do and/or a group of your staff can visit the animal home. As soon as they have heard about all the great work we do, they will be chewing at the bit to get involved!

Corporate Donations

The Mayhew Animal Home relies on voluntary support for 100 per cent of our income, so your donation really will make a difference.

Ways to donate:

• By cheque made payable to The Mayhew Animal Home and post along with your company name, address and an employee contact name to: The Mayhew Animal Home, Trenmar Gardens, Kensal Green, London NW10 6BJ.
• Over the phone, call Sue at our fundraising office on 020 8968 2446.
• You can place an online donation here

Payroll Giving

You can give through your pay on a regular basis - as these donations are deducted by your employer's payroll department before tax, payroll giving is a tax effective way of giving.

For example, if you wanted the donation amount to the charity to be £5, if you were a standard rate tax payer you would pay just £4 directly from your pay and if you are a higher rate tax payer you would pay just £3.

The Mayhew Animal Home is a part of a consortium of five animal charities with the aim of raising money of animals in need through payroll giving, amongst other ways. This organisation is called Assisi Animal Charities Foundation www.assisi.org.uk.

You need to check that your employer offers a payroll giving scheme. If so, all you need to do is to download, print and complete this form. Once the payroll form is complete, send it to Assisi Animal Foundation, Home Close Farm, Shilton Road, Burford, Oxon OX18 4PF and Assisi will do the rest for you.
