Hello, my name is Karla

I知 a three year old female Rhodesian Ridgeback. I arrived at The Mayhew because my previous owner decided she no longer wanted me.

I am a very sweet girl. I知 kind natured, gentle, calm and very loving. I adore my carers and love nothing more than having cuddles and soaking up all the attention. I知 also very well behaved and I have good manners. I know all the usual commands and I listen when told to do things. Although I love people I知 not very keen on other dogs, on my walks I値l ignore them unless they harass me, but I wouldn稚 be happy living with another dog. School age children also worry me, again I値l ignore them and keep my distance but if they池e excitable l値l bark at them. I知 toilet trained and I can be left alone for a few hours without any problems, I would probably be ok being left alone for longer periods but until this is known for certain I知 looking for home where someone is around for most of the day. If encouraged I will play with toys but I壇 much rather snuggle into you for tummy rubs.

I would like to find a home with someone who has owned large breed dogs before. I can live with cats providing they are used to dogs. Any children in my new home will of teenage age and upwards. A family or person who will spend quality time with me, and offer me plenty of affection. I enjoy my walks of which I need a minimum of one hour of off lead exercise every day, in a park or open space. So if you池e looking for a well mannered and sensible dog please come and visit me. My new guardians will be taking on a ten year commitment which must not be taken lightly.
