Garfield

Hi, my names Garfield and I’m an extremely handsome 18-month-old ginger tom. I came to The Mayhew because my owner was expecting a new baby and sadly didn’t feel they could look after me.

As a kitten I only ever lived indoors so I was absolutely terrified when I first arrived at The Mayhew; so many new smells and noises to get used to! I still get a little spooked when there’s a loud noise I’m not familiar with but I’m gaining confidence every day. I’m very inquisitive and I’m always on the look out to see what’s going on around me. I can’t wait to find a home with a garden so I can have lots of fun and games in.

I can be very affectionate when I want to be and like to wrap myself around your legs and chirp at you, however being a bit of a teenager I can be a bit temperamental on occasions so I do like to have my own space at times. Although I haven’t lived with other cats I find them really fascinating and will happily play with them therefore could live with an existing cat that’s a similar playful age.

I’m looking for an adult household or a family with teenagers with a nice garden for me to enjoy. Once I’ve settled and have gained confidence in my new home I will make a fantastic family addition to the right owners.
