Hi, my name’s Millie and I am a beautiful 1-year-old female. I came to The Mayhew, along with my siblings, because my owner was an inexperienced cat owner and couldn’t cope

Unlike my siblings I was extremely nervous when I arrived at The Mayhew and wouldn’t let anyone near me. My owner didn’t pay much attention to me so I wasn’t used to human interaction.

I’m currently living in a foster home and I’m slowly learning that people aren’t as scary as I once thought. It’s taken me a long time to adjust, but I’m proving to be a really playful and affectionate young cat. I’m still nervous of any new visitors and loud noises etc but in time I’m hoping I will continue to gain confidence.

I will need an incredibly patient and understanding owner who will help continue with my progress. I’m a sweet girl with lots of potential and can’t wait to find a permanent home with a loving new friend. Although I currently have access to a garden i'm still far too nervous to make use of it and find going outside extremely overwhelming. I would probably suit an owner with a large balcony or roof terrace that I can feel safe in but also enjoy the sunshine.
